The Manor, a new restaurant and wedding barn launching in Greasby, on the Wirral, saw a huge local response to its recent recruitment drive, with over 60 jobs offered to successful candidates across the surrounding area.
Nelson Hotels & Inns, the award-winning, family-run collection of hotels, inns and restaurants across Cheshire and surrounding areas, hosted two recruitment days last week for their fifth venue, The Manor at Greasby, which is set to open in January 2023.
The recruitment days saw over 100 attendees, most of which were Greasby residents or from the local area. Following interviews conducted across the two days by senior members of the Nelson Hotels & Inns team, over 70% of the candidates were successful in receiving a job offer. This includes both part-time and full-time roles across all age brackets within front-of-house, kitchen roles at all levels, restaurant management, runners and waiting staff.
The Manor is set to be a charming gastropub-style restaurant located in the heart of Greasby, featuring an expansive dining room and bar, as well as a state-of-the-art kitchen. The Barn at The Manor, set in a historical barn within the grounds of the 17th century manor house, will be the ultimate destination in the region for weddings and special occasions such as anniversaries or birthdays.
As the hospitality industry continues to experience a shortage of workers and rise in unfilled vacancies, the Nelson Hotels & Inns team have been overwhelmed by the support from the surrounding area and are happy to have been able to provide a large number of job roles across the Wirral village and beyond.
Both locally and regionally, the response to The Manor’s much-anticipated opening continues to be positive, with many attendees of the recruitment day expressing that the restaurant and wedding venue was needed in the area.
