Nelson Hotels & Inns to host recruitment day for new Wirral restaurant and wedding barn

Wirral-based restaurant and wedding barn, The Manor at Greasby, will be hosting two recruitment days in November at Greasby Children’s Centre ahead of its opening this winter.

Nelson Hotels & Inns, an award-winning, family-run collection of hotels, inns and restaurants across Cheshire and surrounding areas, will be hosting recruitment days for their fifth venue, The Manor at Greasby, on Wednesday 2nd and Saturday 5th November at Greasby Children’s Centre.

The Manor will be a charming gastropub-style restaurant located in the heart of Greasby, featuring an expansive dining room and bar, plus a state-of-the-art kitchen. The Barn at The Manor, set in a historical barn within the grounds of the 17th century manor house, will host up to 80 guests and will be the ultimate destination in the region for weddings and special occasions such as anniversaries or birthdays.

Ahead of its expected opening this winter, the recruitment days will allow prospective employees the chance to learn more about the roles on offer. The Manor is currently hiring full-time and part-time positions for all levels of experience across the restaurant and kitchen, including: waiting staff, runners, bartenders, chef roles at all levels, as well as restaurant management.

The first recruitment day will be held on Wednesday 2nd November at 2pm – 7pm, followed by a subsequent day on Saturday 5th November at 10am – 3pm. Each day will be held at Greasby Children’s Centre, Greasby, CH49 3AT. On hand throughout each day will be senior members of the Nelson Hotels & Inns team who will be able to offer further information on each position and what to expect from working at The Manor.

Some notable mentions include his contribution at The World’s First Super Boutique 5* Hotel, The Londoner, where he worked as part of the service excellence team to head up the pre-opening of the hotel. He also worked closely with the Fairmont Montreux Palace team, organising an exclusive wedding of over 600 high-profile guests. During his time as Group Executive chef at Edwardian Hotels, Neil worked on the original launch and re-launch project for Peter Street Kitchen, which was awarded Best Culinary Experience at The British Restaurants Awards in 2022.

Neil takes a hands-on approach from menu inception right through to delivery, developing creative dishes that are innovative and contemporary. He has a strong focus on maintaining relationships with the best suppliers to source quality ingredients.

No stranger to managing large kitchen teams, Neil’s main aim as he takes on this new role is to help elevate the food and service across the group. He will be working to improve menus, manage the site teams and maintain the group’s high food standards. His background managing large-scale events and weddings will also be instrumental in the success of Nelson Hotels & Inns’ latest opening, The Manor at Greasby, which will offer a luxury wedding barn and events venue.
